Deezer – Multiplayer Music Quiz
The music streaming giant Deezer aims to expand into the events industry through partnerships with several well-known artists. Their idea was to bring the music quiz feature launched on their app into live events, with several thousand participants taking part in real time during concerts and festivals. Kapsloc was commissioned to design and develop these music quizzes for both web and Windows tablets.
The context
The game is available as an online version that players can access via a QR code displayed at the concert, as well as on tablets installed directly at the venue, running on Unity.
Thanks to server hosting on Amazon Web Services, stability is ensured even during periods of very high traffic.
A separate application is used to display live leaderboards, and emails are sent to players at the end of each concert with a recap of their results.
The very first game session, held at Taylor Swift’s concert in May 2024, was a success, and we continue to partner with Deezer for subsequent events.
